DMCA and Copyright Policy

SteadyCalculator respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (the “DMCA”), 17 U.S.C. § 512. This page explains how copyright owners can ask us to remove material from steadycalculator.com, how a counter-notification works, and how we handle repeat infringement. It is part of our Terms of Use.

Our content and copyright

The text, calculators, tools, design, graphics and logos on SteadyCalculator are owned by SteadyCalculator or used under licence, and they are protected by United States and international copyright law. You may use our calculators freely for personal and business use, and you may link to any page on this site. You may not copy, republish, scrape for republication, or redistribute substantial parts of the site without our written permission.

Reporting copyright infringement

If you believe that material on steadycalculator.com infringes your copyright, please send us a takedown notice. To be effective under the DMCA, a notice must be a written communication that includes substantially the following information:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of a person authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If several works are involved, you may provide a representative list.
  • Identification of the material you claim is infringing, and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it, normally the full URL of the page where it appears.
  • Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.

Send the complete notice to our designated copyright agent:

Copyright Agent, SteadyCalculator
Email: hello@steadycalculator.com
Subject line: DMCA Takedown Notice

Email is the fastest way to reach us. Please send one notice that covers all of the material you are reporting, and make sure the URLs are exact, so we can act without delay.

What happens after we receive a notice

When we receive a notice that substantially complies with the DMCA, we will review it promptly, and we will remove or disable access to the material identified where the claim appears valid. We document every notice we receive and every action we take. If a claim is unclear or incomplete, we may contact you for the missing information before acting.

Please note that knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), including costs and legal fees. If you are unsure whether material infringes your copyright, consider speaking with a legal professional before sending a notice.

Counter-notification

If your material was removed because of a mistake or misidentification, you may send us a counter-notification. To be effective, it must include substantially the following:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed, and the location where it appeared before removal, normally the full URL.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, mailing address and telephone number, plus a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district where your address is located (or, if you are outside the United States, of a judicial district where SteadyCalculator may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.

When we receive a valid counter-notification, we will forward a copy to the original complainant. Unless the complainant tells us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action to restrain the material, we may restore the material no earlier than 10 and no later than 14 business days after receiving the counter-notification.

Repeat infringer policy

It is our policy, in appropriate circumstances, to disable or terminate the access of users who are repeat infringers, and to remove material posted by them. We also reserve the right to remove any material that we believe infringes, or may infringe, the rights of others, whether or not a notice has been received.

Trademarks and other rights

This policy covers copyright claims under the DMCA. If your concern involves a trademark or another type of intellectual property, please still contact us at hello@steadycalculator.com with the details, and we will review it under the applicable law and our Terms of Use.

We may update this DMCA and copyright policy from time to time. Any change takes effect when it is posted on this page, and the date below shows when the current version was published. If you have a general question about this policy, please use our Contact page or read our Privacy Policy.
